Resumo

This study reports the main findings of an Environmental Survey (ES) done at the University of the Azores, campus of Ponta Delgada, during 2006 and 2007, using 2005 as the reference year. Energy and water use, transportation, atmospheric emissions and waste production were highlighted as the main significant environmental aspects. Other deliverable of the ES was the outline of environmental goals and strategies to improve sustainability in the university as well as the embracing of an environmental policy.
