A CVARG member, Massimiliano Porreca spent two weeks in field work on the volcanic area of Tuzgle volcano (La Puna Altiplano, NW Argentina) during February 2010. The work is part of an international project funded by the CNR (National Research Center of Italy), involving different research groups.
The field work was based on volcanic field survey, paleomagnetic sampling and structural analysis in order to define the relationship between tectonic and volcanic activity during the last 12 Ma.
